Council of Europe
The Strasbourg Bulletin
Introducing The Strasbourg Bulletin – HRCS’ new blog series on the Council of Europe and the UK’s involvement.
We are delighted to launch The Strasbourg Bulletin, a new series of articles exploring the work of the Council of Europe, its relationship with the UK, and how it shapes the protection of human rights, democracy, and the rule of law across Europe.
The series is written by our Strasbourg Correspondent, Jerome Joseph.
Jerome holds an LLM in International Law and an LLB in Law with French from the University of Glasgow. Based in Strasbourg, he currently works as a Policy Officer on democracy and human rights, and previously served as a lawyer at the UK Division of the European Court of Human Rights. He brings rich expertise from both multilateral institutions and the NGO sector, where he has worked on legal advice and human rights research.
We’re thrilled to have Jerome’s insight and clarity guiding this series at a time when the UK’s relationship with the Council of Europe has never been more important.
