We are currently recruiting to this role for the first time which has been created to build on the successes of the Consortium’s current income generation strategy and develop a new, long-term one focussed on sustainability and growth.
Our new strategy must have a focus on diversification of funding linked to creative and innovative business development which embodies and delivers the Consortium’s strategic development in line with its mission, vision and values.
This is an exciting opportunity and would suit someone who has previous experience of business development and/or income generation and is keen to apply this experience to the Human Rights sector and is perhaps looking for more flexibility in terms of part-time work to supplement consultancy work.
We know this is an extremely challenging time for the voluntary sector, hence our investment in this role in order to meet current and future financial requirements, both for the core of the organisation and new projects and developments.

Trustee Treasurer (volunteer role)
We are looking for a new trustee who will help us shape the organisation to be human rights-based, with excellent governance and strategic priorities.
As well as playing their full part in the work of the Board, we are particularly looking for someone to take on the role of Treasurer.
The Consortium currently receives funding from eight independent grants and trusts (a number of which are muti-year). We also receive a small amount of sponsorship and donations during the year. We have well developed internal financial management systems and outsource our payroll and has external support for preparing management and annual accounts – the Treasurer has an oversight role in preparing financial reports for the Board to consider at its meetings four times per year and advises the Director and Admin and Finance Officer. We are therefore, looking for someone who loves spreadsheets! and has a good understanding of what is required for excellent financial management of a small charity.
Full information about the role can be down in the recruitment pack below.
