Being Human: Getting it Right in 2026

To mark International Human Rights Day, we are pleased to join the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) as partners for this special online event exploring how to ensure that human rights are central to pre-election discussions ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections in May 2026.

The session will feature a panel with expertise across policy, practice and lived experience, who will discuss what the right to health means to them and what actions are needed to make sure rights are respected, protected and fulfilled in Scotland.
This event forms part of the Being Human series, which highlights the importance of embedding human rights within health and social care policy and practice, and addresses the stigma, discrimination and inequality experienced by disabled people, people with long-term conditions, and unpaid carers.
