APPLY TO JOIN THE SNAP2 LEADERSHIP PANEL

Scotland’s Second National Action Plan for Human Rights (SNAP2) is recruiting for Civil Society and Rights Holder members of the SNAP2 Leadership Panel.

The SNAP2 Leadership Panel is a partnership involving various stakeholders, including Duty Bearers (public bodies), Civil Society, and Rights Holders.

It is co-chaired by three members, reflecting the diversity of the panel. One chair represents Duty Bearers, another represents Civil Society, and the final co-chair represents Rights Holders.

Members will work together to oversee the delivery and implementation of SNAP2 prioritised actions.

Membership is open to individuals aged 16 or over. Rights Holder applicants from a wide range of different backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply, particularly rights holders who identify as belonging to one or more of the following groups: disabled people, young people, LGBTQIA+ people, women, black and ethnic minority people, care experienced people, older people, unpaid carers, people affected by poverty, and individuals with experience of the Justice system.

Scottish Civil Society organisations, including third sector organisations, community groups and trades unions are also encouraged to apply.

Members of the Leadership Panel who participate in their capacity as Rights Holders and those representing Civil Society organisations will be compensated for their time.

All applicants should be passionate about human rights, and the role of SNAP2 in strengthening and promoting the protection of people’s rights in Scotland. If this sounds like you, please contact scottishnationalactionplan@gov.scot for further details and an application pack.

Closing date – 9am on 31st March 2025.
