Consortium Welcomes UK Supreme Court Decision on Rwanda Plan

Today (15th November 2023) the UK Supreme Court ruled that Rwanda is not a safe country for the UK Government to send asylum seekers.

The Consortium has joined over 130 civil society organisations to welcome this decision, and to urge the UK Government to abandon the Rwanda plan immediately, and instead to introduce immigration policies which are rooted in respect for human rights. We urge everyone- Governments, civil society, and individuals- to stand up for the rights of people seeking sanctuary, regardless of where they come from or how the travel here.
