Consortium says goodbye and thank you to Board Members; Sandra Stuart, Rosie Tyler-Greig and Michelle Mañas Brodie
This month (June 2024) the Consortium has said goodbye to 3 departing Board members, whose work has been invaluable in steering the Consortium in a human rights-based direction. We'd like to thank Sandra Stuart, Rosie Tyler-Greig and Michelle Mañas Brodie for their tremendous contribution, and we wish them all the best for future.
Our Chair, Aidan Collins, had this to say about Sandra and Rosie, who both served on the Board for several years:
Rosie
"Rosie is a steadfast advocate for developing inclusive cultures and mobilising human rights. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in navigating significant shifts and challenges within the Scottish human rights landscape. Her experience across both the third and public sectors has been instrumental in advancing our work. We appreciate her insights and dedication to ensuring that human rights are respected and protected in Scotland. While we will miss her presence on our board, Rosie will continue to champion the Consortium's work as an alumna."
Sandra
"Sandra's influence on our board has been profound, driven by her decades of experience in social care, disability, and mental health. Her passion for amplifying the voices of disabled people to decision-makers is truly infectious. Sandra's warmth and wisdom have been a guiding force, and her presence will be missed. Nonetheless, we wish her all the best for the future and are certain that our paths will cross again."
